Terms to know
- Participants = people who are giving feedback. They can also be referred to as "testers." PlaybookUX has a participant panel where you can select your target demographic or you can use your own participants for a study if you have a list of your own customers or users who are looking to give feedback.
- Moderator = someone who is responsible for interviewing the participant. The moderator will ask the participants questions and is responsible for controlling the session.
- Test asset = what you are looking to get feedback on. It can be a prototype, website, mobile app, youtube video, blog post, marketing email, Facebook ad among other things.
Moderated Interviews getting started checklist
- [ ] Define your target audience (who you are looking to get feedback from)
- [ ] Define how long you want the session to be (30 minutes, 60 minutes etc.)
- [ ] Create your discussion guide
- [ ] Configure your calendar for interviews
- [ ] Prepare test assets (if you are testing a prototype or a document make sure you "share" settings are turned on so testers can access the asset)
- [ ] Ensure you have a quiet place where you can conduct the sessions (all PlaybookUX moderated sessions are remote we do not support in-person sessions)
- [ ] Conduct a dry run either with a co-worker or yourself to make sure the questions make sense and fit within the allotted time
