My Panel is your private participant database inside PlaybookUX. Build and manage your own audience of research participants: recruit from your existing customers, upload contact lists, or capture visitors from your website, then invite them to studies directly from the platform.

Overview

My Panel gives you a central place to store and organize participants for your own research. Unlike recruiting through PlaybookUX's external panel, My Panel is made up of people you bring in — your customers, employees, beta users, or any contacts you want to research.

Participants in your panel are stored across all your projects in the workspace. Each participant record captures contact info, session data, and behavioral attributes collected at the time of their visit.

The participant table displays all contacts in your panel. Each row represents one participant. Click Configure Columns in the top right to show or hide the fields visible in your table.

Ways to add participants

There are two ways to populate your panel:

  1. Import a contact list: Upload a CSV file containing participant email addresses and any additional attributes you want to store. This is the fastest way to add existing customers or user lists to your panel. How to upload a CSV to My Panel
  2. Capture visitors on your website: Set up an intercept to display a prompt to visitors on your website. When a visitor responds, their information is automatically added to your panel. You can target intercepts by page, session behavior, browser, location, and more. How to set up intercepts

Inviting participants to a project

Once your panel has participants, you can invite them to any project in your workspace. Select one or more participants using the checkboxes in the table, then click Invite to Project in the bottom bar.

Participants will receive an email invitation. You can customize the sender name and domain used for outreach in your workspace settings.
