Terms to know
- Participants = Participants are people who are giving feedback. They are also referred to as "testers." PlaybookUX has a participant panel where you can select your target demographic or you can use your own participants for a study if you have a list of your own customers or users who are looking to give feedback
- Session = A session is one unmoderated video of a participant going through your website, mobile app etc.
- Study or Project = A study, also called a "project," is the culmination of all the research done on a specific asset from start to finish. For example, if you are trying to improve a contact page on your website, you may conduct research sessions for each stage of the planning process from prototyping to staging to finalization - all of these tests would be part of a study.
- Test asset = A test asset is what you are looking to get feedback on. It can be a prototype, website, mobile app, youtube video, blog post, marketing email, Facebook ad among other things.
Unmoderated sessions getting started checklist
- [ ] Define your target audience (who you are looking to get feedback from)
- [ ] Prepare test assets (if you are testing a prototype or a document make sure your "share" settings are turned on so testers can access the asset)
- [ ] Craft the unmoderated questions
