How long are unmoderated tests and how many questions should I ask?

There isn't a straight forward answer to this question. Some questions / tasks will take longer than others to answer. For example, asking a participant to explain their biggest pain points at work will take a few minutes for a participant to answer while asking them to open a URL and click on a the blue button will (hopefully!) only take a few seconds. That being said, most unmoderated studies typically are between 12 - 30 questions.

• Task / Question: Use this for instructions or task based questions.
• Rating: Involves asking participants to rate concepts, such as satisfaction, ease, or likelihood to recommend.
• Multiple select (pick any): Participants will be asked to select one or more answers from a list of choices.
• Single select (pick one): Participants will be asked to select one answer from a list of choices.
• Written response: Participants will be asked to respond to a question in a written format.
